Restricted Items
Importers are sometimes unaware of the various permit requirements as it relates to the importation of goods. As a result, they are found to be in contravention of the Customs Act.
Ignorance is no excuse under the law, instead the Customs Agency would prefer to have knowledgeable customers who are compliant with the rules and regulations rather than to penalize.
